Annalise AI is a medical artificial intelligence company based in Australia, formed in 2019 as a joint venture between I-MED Radiology Network—Australia’s largest diagnostic imaging provider—and harrison.ai, a Sydney-based health tech firm specializing in AI-powered healthcare solutions.

Company Overview

Annalise develops AI-based softwares designed to assist clinicians in interpreting radiological imaging studies of adult patients. Their software integrates into existing clinical workflows, leading to their utilisation in emergency departments and radiology departments, across hospitals in multiple countries.

Global Presence and Partnerships

Annalise solutions are deployed in over 40 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and various regions in Asia like Hong Kong.

Products

Annalise products are tailored for specific imaging modalities supporting medical professionals in interpreting radiological images efficiently. Their suite of products includes Annalise Enterprise CXR, Annalise Enterprise CTB, and Annalise Triage.

Annalise Enterprise CXR

Annalise Enterprise CXR, compatible with PACS and RIS platforms, is for chest X-ray interpretation in patients aged 16 and above. It can detect up to 124 findings in a single scan. The model supports multi-view image analysis (including lateral views).

Annalise Enterprise CTB

Annalise Enterprise CTB (CT Brain) is specifically designed for non-contrast head CT scans. It can detect up to 130 findings such as intracranial hemorrhages, hydrocephalus, masses, and cerebral edema. The model automatically adjusts for image rotation and tilt, reformats the scan in three anatomical planes (axial, sagittal, and coronal), and displays AI findings with associated confidence levels. However, it is intended for use in patients aged 18 and older only. The product has undergone rigorous validation using a dataset of over 229,000 scans annotated by 143 radiologists, demonstrating a high level of diagnostic support in both emergency and routine care.

Annalise Triage

Annalise Triage is a prioritization tool useful particularly in settings with high patient load that assists in managing high-acuity cases by flagging 12 critical findings like tension pneumothorax, obstructive hydrocephalus, and large-volume hemorrhages across chest X-rays and non-contrast head CT scans. Its threshold levels can be adjusted to customize alert sensitivity according to the clinical priorities of the hospital in any situation.

Opinion

Annalise AI‘s products are designed to function as decision-support tools assisting clinicians by highlighting potential findings, the responsibility for interpretation and diagnosis however remains with the healthcare professionals solely.
