The Paige Breast Suite is a collection of AI-enabled apps created by Paige AI that assist pathologists in the identification of breast cancer. Intended to improve the precision and effectiveness of diagnosis, the suite consists of Paige Breast Mitosis, Paige Breast Lymph Node, Paige Breast Detect & Neoplasm, and HER2Complete.

Together, these tools streamline pathologists’ workflow by lowering subjectivity and manual labour in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Thanks to the same foundational technology that allowed Paige Prostate Detect to receive FDA approval, it is designed to operate in any lab setting.


Paige Breast Detect and Neoplasm

Paige Breast Detect and Neoplasm is designed to assist pathologists in the efficient prioritization and review of breast cancer cases. It helps in the identification and highlighting of suspicious areas within slide images, and automatically classifies neoplasms by subtype. It has proven to have 66% reduction in read times in slides suspicious for cancer.


Paige Breast Mitosis

The Breast Mitosis app is specifically designed to assist pathologists in the mitotic counting process during breast cancer diagnosis. Recognizing the challenges and subjectivity involved in manual mitotic counting, Paige Breast Mitosis intelligently identifies ‘hotspots’—areas with a high density of mitoses—thus reducing subjectivity and improving accuracy.


Paige Breast Lymph Node

The Lymph Node app assists pathologists in detecting breast cancer metastases in lymph node tissue. It scans lymph node slides to identify metastases of any size, including small micro-metastases that might be challenging to detect manually. The software provides a slide-level sensitivity of 97.7% for detecting metastases. It highlights suspicious areas on the slide using Paige’s proprietary TissueMap, allowing pathologists to prioritize and review these areas efficiently.


HER2Complete

HER2Complete is an app with ability to identify expressions of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein on H&E-stained tissue samples. The software is designed to detect HER2 expression in patients who are typically classified as IHC negative (or IHC-0), as well as in those with HER2-low (IHC1+ and 2+/FISH negative) tumors1.

Trained using orthogonal proteomic and gene expression methods, HER2Complete offers a novel approach to HER2 classification, potentially identifying patients who could benefit from targeted therapies that may not be recognized through standard testing.
