Founded in 2017 and based in New York, Paige is a digital pathology AI company that specializes in developing AI-based diagnostic tools for pathology, particularly in cancer diagnosis. Paige AI is an acronym for Pathology Artificial Intelligence Guidance Engine and began as a spin-out from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Utilizing one of the largest datasets in cancer diagnostics, Paige AI’s technology aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of pathologists’ work. Their platform has been clinically validated and has received FDA clearance for use in pathology.

Training Model

It is based on the Virchow Foundational AI model and has been trained on 1.5 million H&E-stained pathology slides, such huge dataset has enabling the development of a tumor detection system capable of identifying cancer across different organ types.

Product Suites:

Paige AI offers specific product suites for Prostate, Breast, and Colon cancer.

Paige Prostate Suite

This Suite is designed to assist pathologists in detecting, grading, and quantifying prostate cancer. It includes individual products i.e. Paige Prostate Detect, Paige Prostate Grade & Quantify, and Paige Prostate Perineural Invasion.

Paige Breast Suite

It is designed to enhance pathologists in diagnosing breast cancers. It includes Paige Breast Detect and Neoplasm, Paige Breast Lymph Node, and HER2Complete.

Paige Colon Suite

Colon Suite is designed for diagnosing Colon cancer, although in the testing phase (beta) yet.

Paige Platform

This platform allows for the full digitization of pathology laboratories.

Tool for Bladder Cancer is currently in development.

Collaborations of Paige AI

Paige Digital Pathology entered into a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to enhance cancer diagnosis and treatment using advanced AI in digital pathology. This partnership involves Paige utilizing Microsoft Azure as its cloud platform for the Paige Platform, which includes data management, cloud storage, and an FDA-cleared whole-slide image viewer. This collaboration aims to develop and deliver new clinical applications and computational biomarkers to transform cancer diagnosis and patient care.
